Businesses we list
We list wedding venues and suppliers using information they publish themselves: business name, phone number, website, town, Google rating and what their own website says they offer. Some suppliers are sole traders, so their business name and contact details can be personal data. We publish them because couples need to find local wedding businesses and these details are already public; that is our legitimate interest. We do not publish home addresses for businesses that serve customers away from their base, or any other personal details.
Any business can ask us to correct or remove its listing at any time through the contact page, and we will do so at the next rebuild, normally within a week.
Venue map
If you press "Use my location" on the venue map, your browser asks your permission and the location stays in that browser tab, only to show how far each venue is from you. If you type a postcode, it is looked up on postcodes.io, a free postcode service, to find its position. Neither is saved or sent to us; we only count that the feature was used.
Emails to us
If you email us, we use your message only to reply and to fix the guide. We do not share it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, to count visits. With your consent we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to see which pages are read and which venues and suppliers visitors contact. Before you choose, Google Analytics may receive anonymous measurements that set no cookies. You can change your choice with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of, a correction to or the deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
