About Abbeystead Village Hall

Over Wyresdale Parish Hall, also known as Abbeystead village hall, sits in the Forest of Bowland about three miles from Dolphinholme on the road to the Trough of Bowland. It opened in 2007 with support from Grosvenor Estates. Weddings are listed among its uses, with the main hall, meeting room and kitchen available. The main hall holds 100 formally or 300 informally, and the meeting room seats over 30. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, table linen and a catering dishwasher, so couples arrange their own food. There is an outdoor area for use in good weather. From April 2026 the main hall costs £25 an hour, and weekend hire from Friday to Sunday costs £1,000 plus deposits. The hall does not say that it is licensed for ceremonies.
